Abstract:

Today, with the increasing progress of information and communication technology and the opportunities and threats arising from it, it has become necessary to pay attention to the curriculum of digital citizen training from the education system. In this regard, the aim of the current research is to extract the elements of the digital citizen education curriculum. The research approach is qualitative and its method is a systematic review based on the model of Wright et al. (2007). The research community consists of 1213 articles about the curriculum elements of digital citizen education, which were published in reputable scientific journals between 2013 and 2022. Considering the criteria of inclusion and non-inclusion and with the purposeful sampling method, 33 articles were selected as a sample for in-depth analysis of the purpose of the research. The research data were collected from the qualitative analysis of the research documents. Based on data analysis, digital citizen training curriculum elements in the form of goals (cognitive goals, emotional goals, and skill goals), content (organization pattern, concepts), learning teaching strategies (presentation methods, teaching methods), human resources (role teacher, student's role) and evaluation were extracted. The findings of this research can provide a clear picture of the elements of the digital citizen curriculum and its features and be a guide for planners to develop a digital citizen curriculum for students.

Abstract:

Purpose: This study aims to investigate digital citizen science projects in Iran and the challenges in this field from the perspective of experts. Method: The present study is exploratory with a content analysis approach. First, scientometric research was conducted in Scopus to assess the status of digital citizen science. Second, to identify the challenges of digital citizen science in Iran, experts were interviewed Findings: Though the number of scientific publications in this field has been growing recently, Iran's share of the scientific output is quite small. A Review of qualitative data obtained from interviews showed that the main challenges in this field in Iran are: Funding, Government policy, Engagement, Time, Recognition, Data quality for citizen science, Volunteers for citizen science, Capacity and skills, and Communication. Conclusion: This research can be a guideline for experts in the field of digital citizen science. These technologies can also facilitate interactions and communication between professionals and nonprofessionals. Despite the spread of digital citizen science projects in European and American countries, the term is unfamiliar in Iran.

Abstract:

Digital citizen is a new conception which it redefines the citizen concept in a new world, and questions the citizen's role and relationship with other phenomena of the new world. The survey of this conception is to identify the relationship of digital citizen and it's potentialities and non-potentialities with digital state in current world by suggesting some case studies (such as Coronavirus crisis, genetics, digital city and artificial intelligence), in which, the ways of digital citizen living through digital network of political power will be identified. Thereby, this writing hypothesizes that a new and reciprocal process between digital citizen and state is streaming on, in a way, that state predominantly controls the process. In other word, since the digital state perceives the citizen as a production for state's living, therefore, it tries to convince or coerces digital citizen to follow the existing political network. This research, conducted by library method, through an interactive logic for analyzing the data and in view of historical sociology, has concluded that the relationship of the digital citizen with state involves an evolutionary way, through which, the digital citizen is convinced and complied with the new state in the new era.

Abstract:

Introduction: Long-term clinical evaluation of dental implants and their surrounding structures is of utmost importance to acquire knowledge about reasons for implant success and failure. However, accurate and reproducible results are difficult to obtain. The aim of the present study was to examine bone height around endosseous implants on digital conventional radiographs (DCR) and direct digital subtraction images (DSI) prior to loading.Materials and methods: In this experimental study, bone height around 10 implants in 6 patients was assessed by 2 observers. Standardized digital radiographs were obtained just a week and 3 months postoperatively and subtracted by means of EMAGO software. Then the observers evaluated bone height on DCRs and DSIs. MINITAB software and paired t-test were used for statistical analysis (a=0.05).Results: Comparative evaluation of bone height indicated significantly higher values on DCR than on DSI (p value=0.002). The observers also had statistically significant variability in this assessment (p value=0.00003).Conclusion: DSI demonstrated lower values of linear measurement of bone height around endosseous implants compared with DCR. Interobserver variability should be considered when comparing values from follow-up studies.

Abstract:

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the status of scientific productions in the field of Digital Citizen Science from 1971 to 2022 in the Scopus citation database.Methodology: The method of the present study is descriptive survey-analytical with a quantitative and scientometric approach. The current study population is all scientific products in the field of Digital Citizen Science from 1971 to 2022, indexed in the Scopus database. Findings: Scientific productions in the field of Digital Citizen Science have a growing trend from 1971 to 2022. The three most active fields in this field are Environmental Sciences (9377 degrees), Agricultural and Biological Sciences (8380 degrees), and Social Sciences (8134). The National Science Foundation and the European Union are the top research institutes in this field. Among the countries, the United States, Britain, and Australia are the three leading countries in this field. The co-occurrence of words also shows the critical role of individuals (citizens) in the scientific production of this field. Conclusion: The study of scientific products in the field of digital citizenship can be a roadmap for researchers inside and outside the field. Given that the field of Citizen Science is an interdisciplinary field and is related to many scientific fields, it is worthwhile for science and technology policymakers in Iran to expand interdisciplinary cooperation with top countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.Value: This research is the first study to explain the digital citizen science in the country.

Abstract:

The subject of "Future" has changed in to a serious area for research and study, especially from the last decade of the 20thcentury up till now.Besides numerous issues which would be considered in the field of "future researches", the topics of "future education", "future citizen", and "characteristics of the future citizen" are of great importance, because, with whatever approach we look at future, it would be formed by citizens. This article illustrates these concepts. Certain issues have been investigated with regard to the point that the future citizen, his characteristics, and his method of education are affected by more general processes. These include "future", "its processes", "preconditions", "goals", "tendencies", "visualizations", "advancements", "problems" and "the whole responses to the future options". Then the relationship between citizenship, education, and citizenship concept has been explained. Many previous researches in this area have been considered in order to investigate different attitudes about citizenship and characteristics of the future citizen. These investigations indicate that educating the future citizen is impacted by three phenomena; globalization, democratic processes and information technology (IT) Therefore it can be said that the future citizen should have at least three characteristics: global, democratic and sensitive to IT.
